The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California
Progress Reports
Since 2000, Metropolitan Water District has filed annual regional progress reports with the California Legislature detailing its achievements in conservation, recycling and groundwater recharge. View the full report and a snapshot of the report. Locally-developed water resources are important elements of a sustainable, environmentally sound and cost-effective water resource “mix” to maintain reliability in urban Southern California.

Regional Progress Report

Section 130.5 of the MWD Act requires Metropolitan to prepare and submit, on or before February 1 of each year, an annual report to the California State Legislature on the District’s progress in achieving the goals of cost-effective conservation, recycling, and groundwater recharge.  The Regional Progress Report -- also referred to as the “SB 60” report for the legislation that established it -- highlights Metropolitan’s investments in local resources and conservation programs.
