Iron Mountain

Iron Mountain: This pumping plant is 70 miles from Copper Basin Reservoir. Since a natural storage reservoir was not available a 108 acre-foot capacity reservoir was constructed. Water is lifted 144 feet to an elevation of 1,047 feet, the shortest lift on the aqueduct system. Due to this low lift, Iron Mountain's pumps only require 4,300 horsepower.
