Opportunities for Contractors

Delta Conveyance Design and Construction Authority

Metropolitan and other public water agencies investing in this project formed the Delta Conveyance Design and Construction Joint Powers Authority, and the Delta Conveyance Finance Authority to finance and safely manage, design and construct the project. The agencies are also responsible for appropriating funding for the study, review and planning for the project, in addition to other preconstruction capital costs. The California Department of Water Resources’ Delta Conveyance Office oversees the DCA.

New Opportunities for Contractors

Contractors interested in working with the DCA to build the Delta conveyance project can access bid opportunities through PlanetBids, a fully automated web-based vendor and bid management system. Upon successful registration, participants will be sent a confirmation email and begin receiving bid alert emails directly from PlanetBids when projects in their area of interest are posted.

The mission of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is to provide its service area with adequate and reliable supplies of high-quality water to meet present and future needs in an environmentally and economically responsible way.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a state-established cooperative of 26 member agencies – cities and public water agencies – that serve 19 million people in six counties. Metropolitan imports water from the Colorado River and Northern California to supplement local supplies and helps its members develop increased water conservation, recycling, storage and other resource management programs.
