State Releases Preliminary Bay Delta
Conservation Plan

Sacramento - San Joaquin Delta

Jeffrey Kightlinger, general manager of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, issues the following statement regarding the release of new draft chapters of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan:

The effort to identify a comprehensive solution for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta has reached an important milestone.  Today’s release of the initial draft chapters of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan provides important details on the strategy to couple much-needed conveyance improvements in the estuary with habitat restoration. While considerable work and many key decisions lie ahead, a significant project for the people and economy of California is taking shape. Metropolitan commends the efforts of the Brown administration to advance a full proposal for federal review.”
