Thank you for your interest in touring the Regional Recycled Water Advanced Purification Center. Please note the following information and requirements:

Age requirement: All participants must be at least age 10 and/or Grade 5 or higher to participate in the tour.

Dress code: Closed toe, low heel shoes are required for the tour. Long pants are recommended.

Guidelines for photography and audio/visual recording: You are welcome to take photographs at select locations throughout the tour. All photos are for personal use only. During the tour, Metropolitan staff will inform tour participants where photographs are allowed and restricted at the facility. If you’d like to share your photographs on social media, please tag @mwdh2o and use #recycledwater.

Metropolitan may also take photos and recordings that may be used in social media, on the website, in publications, or for other promotional purposes. Tour participants may be asked to complete a photo and audio/visual recording waiver before their tour.

Safety protocol: All partipants will be escorted by a tour guide while visiting the facility. As this is an industrial facility, hard hats and safety vests will be provided and are required to be worn.

Tour booking: For public tours, once you sign up, your registration is confirmed and you will receive a confirmation email. If you’ve requested a group tour, our tour coordinator will contact you to discuss your request and additional details. Your tour will be confirmed with your tour coordinator after all details are received and approved. Both public tours and group tours may be scheduled online, by e-mail, or phone.

Tour expectations: Tours last approximately 1.5 hours and include a presentation and walking tour of the facility. The tour involves climbing steps and moderate walking. If you or your group has any special needs, please indicate this on your tour form or tell your tour coordinator.

Tour size: Groups of up to 40 people may be accommodated. Groups of 1-9 people should sign up for our public tours. These groups are designed for families or small groups. Groups of 10 or more may request to book a group tour. These tours will be tailored to the group and their interests.
