The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

Metropolitan regularly solicits competitive bids from construction contractors for its public works capital improvement projects. Projects range in size from several thousand to several million dollars or more. Some of these types of projects include: PCCP Rehabilitation, pipeline relining, repair and rehabilitation of existing facilities, seismic upgrades and repairs/upgrades to Colorado River Aqueduct facilities.

Bidders are cautioned that most solicitations require that prime contractors planning to submit bids have a minimum required level of insurance and must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference as noted in the notice inviting bids. For more information, please contact Metropolitan's Specs Desk.

There is a small and/or disabled veteran business enterprise (S/DVBE) subcontractor utilization requirement for all Metropolitan construction contracts over $100,000.

Metropolitan's current bidding opportunities and information on how to obtain bidding documents are available here.
