Does Metropolitan accept unsolicited resumes?

Yes. After you have created an account, you can upload your resume. If you don't have a resume, you can create one online by providing your employment and education information.

How can I be informed of future opportunities?

After you create an account, you may create one or more "Job Agents" which will notify you of opportunities as they become available. If you are notified of an opportunity, you must officially apply online to be considered.

After a job is posted, how long does it take to hire an employee?

Our goal is to complete the selection process within 60 calendar days.

How do I apply?

  • Create an account through the "Employment Opportunities" link on the HR home page and provide all required information.
  • Identify a job you want to apply for. Click "Apply Online."
  • To be considered, complete the required fields prior to the advertised closing date and time.
  • Upon successful submittal of your profile, you will receive an on-screen notification, as well as an e-mail acknowledging the receipt of your submitted resume.

If you have difficulty submitting your resume online, please contact Human Resources at (213) 217-7738 between 7:00 AM and 4:45 PM PST, or contact us by email.

What are the basic steps of the selection process?

  • Applicant information that is submitted prior to the advertised closing date and time is screened for relevant qualifying experience.
  • Additional screening mechanisms may be implemented in order to determine the applicant's qualifications.
  • Applicants who most closely meet the needs of Metropolitan will be invited to participate further in the selection process.
  • Meeting the minimum qualifications is not a guarantee of advancement in the selection process.
  • Reference checks will be conducted after the testing/interviewing of the final candidates.
  • Background/security checks and medical assessment will be conducted, as appropriate.
