Professional and community activities:
Ackerman serves on the advisory committee for the California Federation of Republican Women and as vice president of financial development for the Marian Bergeson Excellence in Public Service Series and is a member of the board of directors of USCB, Inc., a California receivable and management company.

Most recently, Ackerman has worked to form a new non-profit corporation aimed at maintaining historic working areas in the State Capital Building in Sacramento and is executive director of the California State Capitol Preservation Fund.

She has been an active member of the Assistance League of Fullerton for many years and served in many leadership capacities as a national board member.  She is a member of the California Women’s Leadership Association, and many other community and civic organizations.  Ackerman is a member of the Orange County Republican Central Committee and was recently elected to serve as a National committeewoman for California.

In addition, Ackerman has served on the church finance committee of St. Juliana’s Catholic Church in Fullerton and a co-chair of government relations and corporate sponsors for the Orange County chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
