Member: Water Planning and Stewardship Committee; Audit and Ethics Committee and the Special Committee on Desalination and Recycling.

Water industry affiliations:

Dick was elected to MWDOC's board of directors in November 2000, he currently serves as vice chairman of its board. He also served as a board member of the Serrano Water District, which provides water for Villa Park, east Orange, and SWD Recreation, Inc., which governs recreation activities at Irvine Lake.

He is also a member of the Association of California Water Agencies and the Water Advisory Committee of Orange County. Dick also served as vice president of the Independent Special Districts of Orange County.

Professional and community activities:

Dick is a member of the American Legion, Rotary Club and the Elks Club. In addition, he serves on the finance committee of the foundation that supports St. Joseph Hospital in Orange and as a member of the Santa Ana Canyon College Foundation.
