Ted Grandsen

Professional and community activities:

A former Ventura County supervisor and Simi Valley mayor, Grandsen is a retired businessman with more than30 years.

Appointed in 1991 as Director to the Calleguas Municipal Water District as a representative of Division 1 and has been since re-elected and is currently serving as President of the board since 1999. He currently serves on the Local Agency Formation Commission representing Special Districts and on the Board of Directors of the Association of Water Agencies of Ventura County.

He has been chair of Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District, chair of the Ventura County Association of Governments, chair of the Local Agency Formation Commission, administrative assistant to state Assemblyman Burt Henson, and president of the Tri-County Nurserymen's Association. Grandsen was the first recipient of the Man and Boy Award of the Boys Club of Simi Valley, later becoming the club's president. Grandsen attended Simi Valley schools and graduated from UCLA in 1956.
