Water industry affiliations:

Former president and director of Orange County Water District (1992-1999), former Commissioner of the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority (1996-1999) and current director of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watershed Council.

Professional and community activities:

Griset is the water affairs staff leader for the Southern California Association of Governments and founding Principal of the Griset Insurance Group, a brokerage firm assisting privately-held businesses and individuals with employee benefit plans and other insurance risk management programs. He is also a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.

Griset was the former Mayor, Councilmember and Planning Commissioner of Santa Ana. He also served as Director of Orange County Sanitation Districts, Chair and Commissioner of the Orange County Transportation Commission, Director of the Orange County Transit District, Director and Advisor of the National League of Cities and the Director of the Orange County Life Underwriters Association.
