Member:Communications and Legislation Committee; Water Quality and Operations Committee; and the Governance and Leadership Committee.

Water industry affiliations:

A member of the San Diego County Water Authority's board of directors since 1997, Pocklington represents Chula Vista's South Bay Irrigation District. He has served as a member of South Bay's board of directors as well as one of South Bay's representatives on the Sweetwater Authority's board since 1986.

He serves as president of the Water Agencies Association of San Diego County and as vice chairman of the San Diego Local Agency Formation Commission. He has also been a member of various committees for the city of Chula Vista.

Professional and community activities:

Pocklington retired in 1987 as a captain and pilot in the U.S. Navy after serving 36 years, including service during the Vietnam War.
