Professional and community activities:

A fifth-generation San Jacinto native, Randy Record has been active in the farming community for over three decades. A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1976, Mr. Record holds a B.S. in agricultural management, continuing his education in irrigation management.

Record was first elected to the Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) board effective Jan. 8, 2001, and served a two-year term as Board President. Beginning January 2003, he has represented EMWD on the Metropolitan Water District board and currently chairs its Engineering and Operations committee.

In December 2007, Record was appointed to the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) board as chair of the Federal Affairs Committee, and in December 2009, he was elected Vice President.  ACWA is an industry association representing some 450 agencies responsible for approximately 90 percent of the water delivered in California.      

Record is founding Chair of the Riverside County Water Task Force, a member of the Hemet San Jacinto Action Group and The Monday Morning Group of Western Riverside County. He also serves on the board of the Bank of Hemet.  He and his wife, Anne, a San Jacinto school teacher, have two grown daughters.

Re-elected to the EMWD board in 2008, Record’s current term runs to January 2013.
