The Story of the Colorado River Aqueduct (Grades 4-Adult) (VHS)
Historical footage from the 1930’s, this tells the story of the construction of the Colorado River Aqueduct. Good overview of early water use in Southern California. (17 minutes)
The California Water Story (Grades 9-Adult) (VHS)
Traces the history of water from the early irrigation systems created by Native Americans and mission fathers, to the vast engineering projects providing water throughout the state today. (17 minutes)
Where in the World is the Water (Grades 5-8) (VHS)
Students jump on the bus and take a virtual water-education field trip from school to the Colorado River Aqueduct, to the water treatment plant, to the water quality lab, to businesses and homes, and back to school. They learn about California’s water from its source to the tap. (13 minutes)

Popular, award-winning, humorous cartoon that demonstrates the uses and abuses of water in and around the home. NO narrative, but strong conservation message… “actions speak louder than words” (7 minutes)
The Water Cycle (Grades k-6) (VHS)
Excellent and entertaining video narrated by a student and describes how the water cycle works, how water is treated and how it is delivered to homes, schools, businesses, etc. It also demonstrates experiments on groundwater storage and water treatment. (10 minutes)
Conserve Everyday (Grades 4-8) (VHS)
In an upbeat, “kid-friendly” style, students are fascinated as they learn many techniques for conserving water inside and outside the home. The video is segmented in four parts for watching separately or in one viewing. (16 minutes)
Go With The Flow (Grades 5-12) (VHS)
Teenage actors teach students where stormwater goes and why it is so important to clean up trash and prevent pesticides, fertilizers and other chemicals from going down the storm drain. Teens also offer a list of best management practices to prevent stormwater pollution. (7 minutes)

Delta Warning (Grades 7-12) (DVD)
Video that graphically portrays the powerful effects of water and potential disaster that would occur should an earthquake hit California’s Sacramento- San Joaquin Delta. Also covers other disasters such as the recent Katrina hurricane. (15 minutes)
Down the Drain (Grades 5-12) (VHS)
Narrated by a teenager and divided into four parts, this dramatic video takes students through the water cycle, into a water quality lab, and into homes as it teaches students what goes down our drains and how to minimize pollution. (30 minutes)
