Professional and community activities:
Glen Peterson served on the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District for 32 years before retiring in December 2018. He continues to represent LVMWD on Metropolitan’s board. He is the past president of ACWA, having served from 2008 to 2009 and is past chair of its Federal Affairs Committee. Peterson also chairs ACWA's Building Committee.
He sits on the Colorado River Board of California representing Metropolitan, appointed by the governor. He also is a member of the board of trustees of the Colorado River Water Users Association, representing California.
Peterson owned Cornell Realty from 1983 to 1998. He served as director/treasurer of the Mountains Conservancy Foundation as well as treasurer of the Agoura Community Center Foundation. Additionally, he is a former trustee of the Conejo Future Foundation and past president of Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation. He participated in the Agoura Hills Rotary and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Peterson is the founder of the Friends of Peter Strauss Ranch.
He has received the Public Health Appreciation Award from the California Department of Health Services for his work in fluoridation. He is an award-winning grape grower and vintner in Agoura. Peterson lives with his spouse, Oscar Castellanos.
